I remember how the sky looks when it's cold.

I really appreciate Claire having put me up for Miss Reef and all, like really really, but I don't know, there's too much school work to worry about. So much that I was half hoping not to b shortlisted, but now that I am, I'm just really hoping that I don't get thru to the finals. Anyhow, I highly doubt my chances of getting that far cos number 1, I'm not tan. Number 2, I don't have a nice tummy. And number 3, I don't have, never tried, and don't ever intend to Brazilian wax. Oh, and number 4, have u seen how completely revolting I've been looking these days? Ya. Ok, just think, free bikini free bikini free bikini.

Anyway, BayBeats 06 was chocked full of emo punk rockers with their all black outfits, and heavy eyeliners. And though I'm not much of a fan of drawing my eyes that much definition(and giving yourself dark eye circles like as though it's not dark enuf!), being amidst such a hardcore crowd has the tendancy to impel such actions. Ehhhneeweeeii, Jols, I and Clement squeezed ourselves into the mosh pit during the Electrico performance and this was the scenery behind us. Oh btw, we were fairly pleased with our efforts for getting such a great spot! But it was too early to speak man.

Buggers behind Clement posing for the camera, we didn't notice until the picture was uploaded into the computer. Though mildly annoying, it's rather endearing! Haha.

T'was a sea of sweaty bodies flooding the tiny area within the baracades, compressing our also sweaty bodies against the person in front and at the back of us. Mixing ur pespiration.. Ew, I cringe at the idea of that. This was when the performance hasn't started yet, when it did, it was almost impossible to take any pictures. A handful in the mosh pit went violently wild and began swinging their friends' bodies and their own all over the place, shaking the living daylights outta each other. The 3 of us clung on to each other for dear life! We were already packed like sardines in a can, the last thing we needed was to b shoved from front to back, side to side. Jols and I almost had our feet and toes impaled! Whenever Electrico screamed "Are u ready to rock and roll?!", u'd find the 3 of us stifling our fear and that not-again frown, and hanging on to one another even more tightly. When it was all over, we were giving sighs of relief and swiping the droplets of pespiration off our bodies. Why do I say bodies, cos at least for me, I had pespiration coming down my legs and my arms, I wasn't even 100% sure it was all mine!

Nevertheless, the experience was unique in it's own manner and I guess now that I look back on it, I wouldn't have spent my visit to BayBeats this year any other way.

Alrighteh, it's back to a mountain high pile of work work work for me.
